The Alex is a fundamental healthcare and social services provider in the community, providing comprehensive primary care services to over 10,000 vulnerable citizens annually. Operating in Calgary for over five decades, The Alex takes a comprehensive view of the factors that influence our health as individuals and as a community and is an exemplar in delivering direct, effective, community team-based care.

With a full complement of health, housing, and community programs, The Alex is a hub of supports and outreach services for people who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability, poverty, trauma, violence, food insecurity, social isolation or complex health challenges; including addiction.
